Wall Paint Ideas

Online, numerous websites will present you with photos that will help to inspire you with ideas for painting the walls in your own home – whether your next project is the living room, bedroom, kitchen, dining room, or something else entirely. You can check out various design blogs, which commonly have posts relating to ideas for wall painting – and that’s if they don’t have an entire section devoted to it. Another spot to check is on the home pages of magazines or television shows devoted to home improvement and design. Magazines like “Martha Stewart Living” tend to have websites with sections meant to give you ideas for home designs. And then television shows like “Design on a Dime” or “This Old House” often have entire sub-websites devoted to giving you wall paint ideas. Finally, you can check on the website of vendors such as Sherwin-Williams. They are highly motivated to provide great paint ideas, since their hope is that once you fall in love with an idea, you’ll take their recommendations and buy their paint and accessories to make the idea a reality.

As far as offline places go, there are also tons of ways to find ideas for wall painting. Check design and home improvement magazines like the ones that I mentioned above. You don’t have to subscribe, obviously. Simply go to a bookstore like Barnes and Noble and peruse the home improvement magazine section. With the myriad home improvement and design magazines on the market now, there is bound to be one which has a current issue devoted to wall painting ideas. You can also simply keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to flip through these magazines – the next time you’re in the waiting room at the doctor or dentist, don’t read those trashy tabloids. Instead, see if they have a “Better Home and Gardens” copy. Even if the issue of the magazine that you’re looking at doesn’t happen to have a section devoted to wall paint ideas, there will still be tons of photos of beautiful houses to inspire you and that you can draw inspiration from.

Finally, take note of the way that your friends houses, as well public buildings and anyplace else that you happen to visit are painted. While you might not want to steal the design exactly, it can inspire you with ideas that you can make your own. You could even take this a step further: some cities have real estate tours during certain times of year when beautiful older homes have open houses. I highly encourage you to sign up for one of these and visit with your spouse or friends. Odds are you’ll see some amazing wall paint ideas that you won’t be able to get out of your head!
